Senior BIM Specialist – Aviation

About the role

The practice is seeking a Senior BIM Specialist to join its London studio and support the growth of its Aviation sector. You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering major international airport and passenger terminal projects, while shaping BIM strategy across multiple live projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead BIM delivery on aviation and transportation projects from concept through construction.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans, project standards and digital workflows to ensure consistent delivery.
• Set up, coordinate and quality‑check project models in Revit.
• Monitor model health, BIM compliance and performance throughout each project stage.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants within shared BIM environments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and support to architectural and interior design teams.
• Collaborate with the wider London BIM team and the global Digital Practice to evolve standards, templates and tools.
• Drive adoption of new technologies, automation and digital best practices.
• Assist project teams in resolving complex modelling challenges.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior BIM coordination, BIM specialist or BIM leadership roles.
• Proven ability to act as BIM lead across multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience mentoring teams and building BIM capability within a studio.
• Background in aviation, transport or large‑scale complex building sectors is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Knowledge of Navisworks.
• Familiarity with Rhino.Inside and Dynamo.
• Python scripting for computational design.
• Understanding of ISO 19650 and Common Data Environment workflows.
