Senior Bridging Underwriter – Path to Head of Underwriting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bridging Underwriter to join our fast‑growing specialist property lender in London. The role offers a clear progression route towards a future Head of Underwriting, allowing you to shape underwriting strategy while working on complex, high‑value bridging transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite complex bridging finance applications from enquiry through to completion.
• Structure commercially balanced lending solutions across residential, semi‑commercial and commercial property transactions.
• Collaborate with brokers, solicitors, valuers and senior stakeholders to deliver efficient lending decisions.
• Support the ongoing development of underwriting standards, governance frameworks and the mentoring of junior team members.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience underwriting bridging finance.
• Proven track record underwriting unregulated residential, semi‑commercial and commercial bridging loans.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex bridging transactions from enquiry to completion.
