About the role
We are partnering with a specialist lender to recruit a Senior BTL Mortgage Underwriter. The role focuses on complex buy‑to‑let loan assessments, ensuring effective risk management and smooth drawdown of funds for borrowers.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with valuers, solicitors and intermediaries throughout the underwriting process.
- Verify that all files are complete, accurate and meet the company’s lending criteria.
- Prepare and complete credit papers for BTL deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure deals progress efficiently.
Required profile
- Analytical and methodical thinking.
- Ability to take ownership of assignments.
- 3‑5 years’ experience as a specialist mortgage underwriter, preferably in buy‑to‑let.

- Competitive basic salary of £55,000‑£75,000 per year.
