Senior Building Safety Manager

About the role

The Senior Building Safety Manager will lead Greystar’s implementation of legislative and best‑practice requirements related to building safety across its UK portfolio. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act and foster a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with the Building Safety Act (BSA) and related health & fire safety legislation across all business areas.
• Maintain and update policies, procedures and workflows to reflect regulatory changes.
• Ensure High‑Risk Residential Buildings (HRRBs) are registered with the Building Safety Regulator on schedule.
• Collaborate with contractors, designers and the Principal Accountable Person to maintain the “Golden Thread” of information.
• Provide specialist technical advice to the Asset Management Team and clients.
• Develop and maintain the Building Safety Case Log and prepare Safety Case Reports as required.
• Design resident engagement strategies and mandatory occurrence reporting systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing building safety compliance for high‑risk residential assets.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and related regulations.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and regulatory bodies.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills for safety case documentation.
