Senior Building Services Quantity Surveyor

About the role

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Building Services Quantity Surveyor to join its London Construction region. The role combines office‑based work in London with site visits across London and the South East, supporting the delivery of sustainable building services projects.

Key responsibilities

• Procure subcontract packages and assemble enquiry documentation.
• Analyse subcontractor quotations, prepare order documents and process payments.
• Provide commercial control of subcontract packages and support main contract valuation.
• Assist with monthly/quarterly forecast reporting, cash‑flow management and variation preparation.
• Prepare, submit and agree variations and final accounts.
• Contribute to project risk and opportunity planning.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, sub‑contractors and suppliers.
• Identify design opportunities to improve project delivery and ensure contract compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience with a main contractor in a single‑ and two‑stage tender environment.
• Team‑leadership and collaborative working experience.
• Degree‑level qualification and/or progress towards MRICS, MCIOB or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation, communication and detail‑orientation skills.
• Ambitious, proactive and comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
