Senior Building Surveyor (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join the Corporate Landlord team in Bristol. The role is hybrid, with occasional visits to City Hall, and focuses on the education estate, ensuring our schools and learning facilities are safe, compliant and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Manage building works across the education portfolio, from repairs to refurbishment projects.
• Conduct condition surveys, oversee maintenance programmes and control project budgets.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, CDM regulations and local authority procedures.
• Act as Planning Supervisor and Designer under CDM, providing consultancy to internal departments.
• Utilise systems such as NEC4, SFG20, JobLogic, FastDraft and Concerto to support Hard FM contracts and asset management.

Required profile

• Qualification suitable for Corporate Membership of the CIOB or equivalent.
• Senior‑level project management experience in building repair, refurbishment and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building contracts, financial control and CDM regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Full UK driving licence and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
