Senior Business Controller

About the role

Vattenfall is looking for an experienced Senior Business Controller to join Business Area Wind (BA Wind). In this role you will help translate financial insights into strategic decisions that drive the growth of on‑shore and off‑shore wind projects across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and continuously improve BA Wind’s planning and control framework.
• Lead performance management, business planning and forecasting activities.
• Manage monthly reporting and forecasting processes for the business area.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and financial governance.
• Safeguard data integrity across financial systems and reporting platforms.
• Prepare management reporting, performance reviews and Business Performance Meeting materials.
• Develop reporting templates, timelines and performance dashboards.
• Maintain and evolve KPIs, scorecards and target‑management frameworks.
• Translate financial results into actionable business insights.
• Define and improve controlling requirements for financial systems and reporting tools.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to future ways of working within Finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Controlling or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in finance, controlling or performance management.
• Proven experience leading planning, reporting and forecasting in a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial governance.
• Ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly and collaborate across disciplines.
