Senior Buyer – 2 Year Contract (Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join a leading engineering and infrastructure organisation in Leeds on a two‑year contract. The role offers flexible working with a hybrid model and the chance to influence strategic procurement across multiple high‑value categories.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic procurement and category management for services, engineering and subcontractor supplies.
• Develop and manage multi‑million‑pound contracts, ensuring value for money and risk mitigation.
• Support purchase‑to‑pay transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Set up and manage frameworks using RFQs, tenders and other competitive processes.
• Operate within a regulated procurement environment, adhering to industry standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Buyer, Procurement Specialist or similar role.
• Track record of managing large‑scale contracts and high procurement spend.
• Experience in strategic procurement, category management and framework development.
• Familiarity with regulated procurement environments and compliance requirements.
