Senior Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to strengthen our supply chain, build strategic supplier partnerships and ensure critical components flow reliably into our defence products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for critical materials and complex supply chains.
• Ensure quality, value, resilience and regulatory compliance across programmes.
• Influence supplier strategy and negotiate high‑value contracts.
• Build long‑term partnerships that support delivery of advanced defence capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality and programme teams to guarantee on‑time, on‑spec delivery.
• Support a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment while adhering to security‑vetting requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within defence or high‑tech sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate high‑value contracts and manage supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with a focus on risk mitigation and compliance.
• Ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
