Senior Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to ensure that all production consumables and raw materials are purchased promptly to support our manufacturing plans. You will work closely with MRP systems, analyse demand trends and use your initiative to maintain supply continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase production consumables and raw materials in line with manufacturing schedules.
• Utilise MRP systems to forecast demand, study lead‑times and compare historical usage.
• Monitor, record and report on vendor rating systems for raw material suppliers.
• Verify that incoming raw materials meet agreed specifications.
• Negotiate purchasing contracts for consumables and non‑stock items.
• Process internal purchasing requisitions efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a buying role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience using MRP systems.
