Senior CAD Designer & Business Operations Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Senior CAD Designer who will also lead business operations for a leading staging and temporary structures company. You will sit at the centre of a busy technical design function, supporting projects from concept through to delivery and preparing for a future senior‑leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop staging and temporary structures using CAD/AutoCAD across live‑event projects.
• Collaborate with Technical and Design Directors to shape project strategy.
• Assist with procurement and supply‑chain management for UK and international assignments.
• Work closely with operations, manufacturing and project‑management teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Build commercial and regulatory knowledge in preparation for a leadership transition.

Required profile

• Strong technical or structural design background at a mid‑to‑senior level.
• Proven experience delivering complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Commercial awareness and ability to own large‑scale work.
• Ambition to progress towards a Technical or Design Director role.
