Senior CAD Designer / Senior Technical Designer

About the role

A Senior CAD Designer / Senior Technical Designer is required to create 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models for a multi‑disciplinary design and build organisation that produces bespoke 3D environments, immersive visitor attractions and themed interiors.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret concept designs and sketches, breaking them down into practical, buildable solutions.
• Produce detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models for in‑house construction teams and external contractors.
• Prepare manufacture‑ready drawings, component lists, material schedules and machine‑ready cutting files.
• Collaborate closely with Project Management and Fabrication teams to translate creative concepts into constructible solutions.
• Support the creation of high‑quality documentation for exhibitions, attractions, theatre sets and similar environments.

Required profile

• Practical, detail‑focused technical designer with strong CAD expertise.
• Sound knowledge of materials and experience producing manufacture‑ready drawings for creative build, exhibition or set‑building projects.
• Senior‑level experience in a design‑and‑build or exhibition‑design environment.

What we offer

• Salary £39,000‑£46,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Full‑time permanent contract
