Senior Care Assistant – Day Shift

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Birkin Lodge Nursing Home in Tunbridge Wells. Working day shifts, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the wellbeing and daily lives of our residents while supporting a compassionate, family‑led environment.
Key responsibilities
- Aid residents’ emotional wellbeing and social needs.
- Administer and monitor medication safely.
- Support residents during mealtimes.
- Mentor and assist new employees.
- Implement, monitor and review individual care plans.
- Plan, allocate and supervise the work of care assistants.
Required profile
- Proactive, passionate and ambitious attitude.
- Experience as a Senior Care Assistant with team‑lead responsibilities.
- Friendly and caring approach.
- Experience administering medication.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
