Senior Care Assistant – Day Shift

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Birkin Lodge Nursing Home in Tunbridge Wells. Working day shifts, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the wellbeing and daily lives of our residents while supporting a compassionate, family‑led environment.

Key responsibilities

• Aid residents’ emotional wellbeing and social needs.
• Administer and monitor medication safely.
• Support residents during mealtimes.
• Mentor and assist new employees.
• Implement, monitor and review individual care plans.
• Plan, allocate and supervise the work of care assistants.

Required profile

• Proactive, passionate and ambitious attitude.
• Experience as a Senior Care Assistant with team‑lead responsibilities.
• Friendly and caring approach.
• Experience administering medication.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
