Senior Care Assistant – Day Shifts

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the day team at a well‑established residential care home in Marton Moss, Blackpool. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care to older residents while supporting and guiding the wider care team during day shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the care team throughout your shift, ensuring smooth operations.
• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to residents, respecting their dignity and independence.
• Administer medication in line with company policies and record keeping procedures.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, respond to changing needs, and communicate with healthcare professionals and families.
• Maintain accurate care records and contribute to care planning.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant in a residential or nursing setting.
• Proven ability to administer medication and lead shifts.
• Strong understanding of person‑centred care, safeguarding and health & safety.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
