Senior Care Assistant – Days or Nights – Luxury Retirement Home

About the role

The Senior Care Assistant will provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to residents of a 62‑bed luxury retirement and nursing home in Nailsea, Somerset. Working either day or night shifts, you will support residents with daily living activities while guiding the wider care team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support care staff throughout each shift.
• Deliver compassionate, person‑centred care to residents.
• Assist residents with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Maintain up‑to‑date care plans and accurate documentation.
• Promote residents' dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Liaise with nurses, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all residents.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home.
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional care.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Compassionate, reliable and team‑oriented.
