Senior Care Assistant – Dementia Care Home

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a shift at Casa di Lusso Care Home, a modern dementia care facility in Bridgwater. You will ensure safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care for up to 88 residents.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and support the care team during your shift, ensuring care is well organised and delivered to a high standard.
• Provide hands‑on care, oversee medication administration and monitor residents’ wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals.
• Respond promptly to changes in residents’ condition to keep care safe and appropriate.
• Work alternate weekends as part of the rota.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum); Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards it.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Caring, compassionate and professional approach.

What we offer

• £13.50 per hour on a contract of 24‑48 hours per week.
• Paid DBS check, pension, uniform and 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time basis).
