Senior Care Assistant – Full-time, Guisborough

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our Guisborough care home on a full‑time basis. You will play a pivotal role in delivering personalised care to residents living with dementia, nursing needs and other specialist requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Care Assistants, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
• Plan and implement care activities that promote residents’ security, dignity and independence.
• Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with medication administration and health monitoring.
• Organise and facilitate social and recreational activities to provide physical and mental stimulation.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date care records and communicate effectively with residents’ families.

Required profile

• Completed Level 2 Diploma / NVQ in Adult Social Care (or equivalent).
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care.
• Experience in person‑centred care planning, especially for people with dementia.
• Positive, energetic attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and keep precise records.
