Senior Care Assistant – Luxury Retirement Home

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join a luxury retirement home in Eastbourne. The home provides high‑quality residential care for older adults, many living with dementia, in a peaceful, garden‑rich setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support care staff on each shift.
• Deliver person‑centred, high‑quality care to residents.
• Assist residents with daily living activities with dignity.
• Administer medication safely.
• Maintain accurate care plans and documentation.
• Promote a safe, calm and positive environment.
• Encourage resident engagement and wellbeing.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience in a senior care role within a care home.
• Experience working with dementia care (desirable).
• Medication training.
• Compassionate, proactive and team‑focused attitude.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding care.
