Senior Care Assistant – Night Shift

About the role

Join the award‑winning team at Aire View Care Home in Leeds as a Senior Care Assistant on the night shift. You will work alongside the care team to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care for residents, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor residents' wellbeing, record changes, and update care plans accordingly.
• Support medication administration and ensure compliance with prescribed regimes.
• Participate in person‑centred care planning, implement care plans and conduct monthly evaluations.
• Provide a point of contact for residents, families, and health‑care professionals, handling requests and escalating concerns.
• Conduct staff supervisions and contribute to the development of junior team members.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar residential care setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, caring attitude towards residents and staff.
• Flexibility to cover a range of night‑time responsibilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of care home regulations and best practices.
• Ability to accurately document observations and care plan updates.
• Competence in supporting medication administration.
