Senior Care Assistant – Nights

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant on the night shift at Fleet Hall Care Home, you will work closely with the care team to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and high‑quality personal care throughout the night. You will help create an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes wellbeing for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Support the care team in delivering personal care and maintaining a safe, caring environment.
• Monitor each resident’s wellbeing, recognise changes, and update care plans and records accordingly.
• Participate in person‑centred care planning, implement actions, and conduct monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with medication requirements and ensure proper documentation.
• Carry out staff supervisions and support professional development when needed.
• Serve as the primary contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health‑social care professionals, handling requests and escalating concerns or complaints.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, nurturing attitude towards residents and staff.
• Flexibility and responsiveness to cover a range of responsibilities.
• Commitment to values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable behaviour.
