Senior Care Assistant - Nights

About the role
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our award‑winning team at a residential care home in South East England. Working the night shift, you will support the care team in delivering high‑quality personal care and creating a safe, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor each resident’s wellbeing, recognise changes, and update care plans accordingly.
- Participate in person‑centred care planning, implement actions, monitor progress and conduct monthly evaluations.
- Assist residents with their medication requirements.
- Carry out staff supervisions and support the development of team members.
- Serve as the primary contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health‑social‑care professionals, handling requests and escalating concerns or complaints.
Required profile
- Demonstrate the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable behaviour.
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar residential care setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing both residents and staff.
- Flexible and responsive to cover a range of duties as needed.
