Senior Care Assistant – Nights

About the role

Join Wendreth Court, a purpose‑built senior living home in March, Cambridgeshire, as a Senior Care Assistant on the night shift. You will support residents to live with dignity, independence and joy while mentoring junior staff throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and support care staff during night shifts.
• Administer medication safely and manage medication records.
• Carry out audits and keep care plans up to date.
• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care by leading by example.
• Collaborate with families to keep them informed and involved.

Required profile

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred).
• Positive, friendly attitude with strong listening skills.
• Ability to think quickly, adapt to changing situations and provide reassurance.
• Patience, sense of humour and a genuine passion for caring for older adults.
• Willingness to work night hours (7:45 pm – 8:00 am) on a part‑time or full‑time basis.

Required skills

• Medication management and administration.
• Care plan auditing and documentation.
• Person‑centred care delivery.
