Senior Care Assistant – Person‑Centred Care Role

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant in a Barchester care home, you will support residents’ individual needs and help deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care. Working closely with the Deputy General Manager, you will lead a team of Care Assistants and collaborate with the clinical team on specific care areas.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants to ensure consistent, compassionate care.
• Assist the clinical team with medication administration, assessments, care plans and care reviews.
• Maintain resident dignity and preferences while fostering a warm, welcoming environment.
• Support the Deputy General Manager in daily operational tasks.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical care for elderly residents.
• Warm‑hearted, compassionate and committed to individualized resident support.
