Senior Care Assistant – Residential Care Home

About the role

Our client, a well‑established residential care home in St. Leonards‑on‑Sea, is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to lead a compassionate team delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care. You will work 42 hours per week across a rotating shift pattern, supporting both long‑term residents and short‑term respite guests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outstanding daily care to residents, ensuring their safety, dignity and wellbeing.
• Lead, mentor and support the wider care team, modelling best practice.
• Administer medication safely where required.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold the home’s high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Assist with care planning and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Senior Carer.
• Strong commitment to person‑centred care and resident wellbeing.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
