About the role
We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader to join a 13‑bed luxury retirement home in Winchester. The role involves delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care while leading the day‑shift care team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support the care team during day shifts.
- Provide person‑centred care, assisting residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
- Support medication administration and monitoring.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Promote a safe, positive and welcoming environment.
- Encourage residents’ independence, wellbeing and engagement.
- Mentor and support junior care staff.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or similar in a residential care setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Experience supporting older people.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Compassionate, proactive and team‑focused attitude.
Required skills
- Medication administration.
