Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader (Night Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader to oversee the night shift at a luxury retirement home in Chandler's Ford. You will lead a dedicated care team, ensuring residents receive high‑quality, person‑centred care throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the care team during the night shift.
• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to all residents.
• Assist residents with personal care and overnight support.
• Support medication administration and monitoring.
• Complete accurate care records and handovers.
• Promote a safe, calm and comfortable environment overnight.
• Respond promptly to residents' changing needs.
• Mentor and support junior members of the care team.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or similar role in a nursing, residential or dementia care setting.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
• Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia.
• Medication administration experience (desirable).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
