Senior Care Practitioner

About the role

Crossreach is seeking a Senior Care Practitioner to join its Edinburgh team. You will combine hands‑on support with leadership, helping individuals with learning disabilities and autism achieve independence while guiding colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to service users, fostering confidence in daily activities.
• Coach and mentor care staff, leading care reviews and ensuring standards are met.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop person‑centred plans.
• Uphold the organisation’s Christian ethos in all interactions.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification such as SVQ Level 3/4, Social Work or Nursing.
• Management qualification recognised by the SSSC.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in social care.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Genuine sensitivity to people’s needs and a personal Christian faith aligned with the charity’s values.
