Senior Carer – Residential Care Home (Bank Position)

About the role

As a Bank Residential Senior Carer you will support the diverse needs of residents in a Barchester care home, delivering person‑centred care while leading a team of care staff. The role is flexible, covering shifts as required for annual leave, sick leave or other staffing gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care staff, providing training, supervisions and delegating duties during shifts.
• Administer and order medication in line with care plans.
• Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and residents' families.
• Provide respectful, dignified care that respects each resident’s preferences.
• Maintain a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment for residents and staff.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting.
• Proven team‑leadership abilities and sound decision‑making.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted and committed to individualized resident support.
