Senior Carer - Residential Care Home

About the role

As a Residential Senior Carer at Barchester Healthcare, you will deliver person‑centred care to residents in a care home setting. You will lead a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of dignity, comfort and wellbeing for each resident.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train, supervise and delegate duties to care staff on shift.
• Administer and order medication, maintaining accurate records.
• Review, update and maintain resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and families to coordinate care.
• Promote a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment for residents.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting.
• Proven team‑leadership abilities and sound decision‑making.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted and committed to individualized resident support.
