Senior Carer – Residential Care Home

About the role
As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you will look after the diverse needs of residents, delivering quality, person‑centred care and support.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift.
- Support administering and ordering medication, review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
- Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Previous experience in a residential care setting with proven team leadership skills.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents’ wellbeing.
Required skills
- Ability to lead and supervise a care team.
- Knowledge of medication administration and care planning.
