Senior Catastrophe Analyst

About the role

The Senior Catastrophe Analyst will work closely with brokers in the Global Markets Direct & Facultative team, delivering market‑leading analytics on natural and manufactured perils. You will support the broking team by managing data, running catastrophe models and translating complex results into actionable insights for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, audit, process and analyse portfolio data for model ingestion.
• Quantify catastrophe risk using vendor catastrophe models.
• Operate geo‑visualisation tools such as ArcGIS.
• Assess the impact of model updates and revisions on outputs.
• Communicate results clearly to cat modelers, brokers, clients and (re)insurers.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders throughout the risk quantification process.
• Provide real‑time reporting and analysis of natural catastrophes.

Required profile

• Proven track record of exceeding performance expectations.
• Strong understanding of London and global insurance/reinsurance markets.
• Experience with at least one vendor catastrophe model and knowledge of underlying peril science.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and proactive attitude.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Motivation to learn and grow within a global market leader.
