Senior Category Advisor EV

About the role

The Senior Category Advisor EV will support BP's EV charging hardware and services procurement, driving strategic initiatives across the pulse business. This role bridges category strategy with execution, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost‑effective sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the interface between procurement category strategy development and implementation, collaborating with regional and central teams.
• Communicate category updates, plans, compliance, and market insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support safe and compliant operations while building strong relationships with key business teams.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of procurement initiatives for operating cost management and capital expenditure optimisation.
• Run the Supplier Relationship Management framework for strategic suppliers.
• Ensure due diligence, risk mitigation, and contractual protection during supplier selection.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical, engineering or related business field, or equivalent.
• CIPS graduate diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in the EV category or a similar high‑growth environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute category strategies.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
