Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

About the role
The Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker leads daily care for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs in a residential home. You will ensure a safe, supportive environment while stepping in for Team Leaders when required.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day care and supervision for residents, creating a stable and nurturing routine.
- Support the staff team, ensuring high standards of operation and wellbeing.
- Deputise for Team Leaders, handling shift coverage and urgent issues.
- Promote positive outcomes and celebrate small victories in residents’ progress.
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.

- Ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
- Compassionate, emotionally resilient and supportive.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and guide colleagues.
- Commitment to good attendance and flexibility for occasional sleep‑ins.
Required skills
What we offer
- Base salary £30,991 – £35,400 per year.
- Sleep‑in allowance (£80 per sleep‑in, up to 4 per month).
- £1,400 attendance allowance for good attendance.
- £1,000 welcome bonus after 6 months and £1,000 loyalty bonus after 12 months.
