Senior Civil Engineer – Highways & Drainage

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of highways, drainage and infrastructure schemes for a leading consultancy in the South East. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, mentor junior staff and contribute to sustainable, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of highways, drainage and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Produce detailed designs using Civil 3D and related 3D modelling tools.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, planning requirements and CDM 2015.
• Identify opportunities for sustainable design and value engineering.
• Support bids, proposals and broader business development activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain design quality.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of consultancy experience.
• ICE membership or clear progress toward it.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
