Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex infrastructure schemes across Liverpool and the wider North West region. You will combine hands‑on technical work with mentorship and client interaction, shaping highways, drainage and master‑planning projects for a forward‑thinking consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver detailed infrastructure designs for development and master‑planning schemes.
• Design highways and drainage systems in line with Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) principles.
• Apply relevant UK legislation and approval processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce design outputs using Civil 3D and specialised drainage software.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering technical growth.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
• Strong experience delivering infrastructure projects, particularly highways and drainage.
• Working towards or holding professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer).
• Clear communication skills and demonstrated leadership capability.
