Senior Client Accounts Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established accountancy practice in Ferndown to hire a Senior Client Accounts Manager. You will own a diverse client portfolio, deliver high‑quality accounts, tax and advisory services, and help develop the wider team in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SMEs, contractors and owner‑managed businesses.
• Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring excellent client service and relationship management.
• Review statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations.
• Oversee VAT returns and meet compliance deadlines.
• Support new business development through client meetings and proposals.
• Allocate work, monitor workflow and ensure internal KPIs are met.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified (or part‑qualified with strong experience).
• Proven experience in an accountancy practice or accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, tax and VAT.
• Experience managing a client portfolio and building relationships.
• Previous supervisory or mentoring experience.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
