Senior Client-Facing Accountant (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a senior, client‑facing accountant to join a well‑established practice supporting over 3,500 SME clients across the UK. The role is hybrid, with a monthly office visit in East Croydon and regular client meetings either in person, via Zoom or by phone.

Key responsibilities

• Review draft year‑end accounts prepared by a central technical team.
• Meet directly with business owners to explain figures, answer questions and provide financial guidance.
• Maintain and develop long‑term relationships with a portfolio of SME clients.
• Liaise with the technical accounts team on queries and amendments.
• Manage a scheduled diary of client appointments and provide daily activity updates.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years post‑qualified accountancy experience, preferably within a practice.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
• Strong communication skills and confidence presenting financial information to owners.
