Senior Cloud Software Engineer – CONNECT Core Services

About the role

Join AVEVA’s Core Services team as a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, focusing on the CONNECT Core Services platform. You will design and implement secure, resilient cloud capabilities on Microsoft Azure, working in a hybrid setting from Cambridge.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure, resilient features for AVEVA CONNECT Core Services.
• Contribute to technical design and implementation decisions across cloud and service‑based architectures.
• Build and improve services using modern engineering practices such as CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate within an agile team and share knowledge on cloud technologies.

Required profile

• Proven design and coding expertise with a track record of delivering high‑quality technical outcomes.
• Experience developing microservice or service‑oriented architectures.
• Strong understanding of REST API design principles.
• Hands‑on experience with C#/.NET or multiple programming languages, database design, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Solid background in cloud development, particularly Microsoft Azure.
