Senior Commercial Account Handler – Insurance

About the role

Our client, a well‑established corporate insurance broker, is seeking a Senior Commercial Account Handler to manage and grow a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients. You will work alongside two existing Account Executives, handling existing books of business and supporting client visits.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with existing corporate and commercial clients to ensure their insurance requirements are met.
• Collaborate with the construction division manager to set forecasts, targets and budgets for your portfolio.
• Work closely with Account Executives and other handlers to achieve high customer satisfaction.
• Keep client files, notes and records accurate, up‑to‑date and accessible during absences.
• Adhere to FCA Principles and internal compliance procedures at all times.
• Assist the broader broking team with London Market placements via Lloyd’s.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Account Handler in insurance or a related sector.
• Ability to organise own workload and prioritize client needs.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with both internal teams and external underwriters.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FCA Principles and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of London Market and Lloyd’s placement processes.
• Competence in selling, cross‑selling and rapport building.
