Senior Commercial Account Handler

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Account Handler to join a well‑established corporate insurance broker in Mansfield. You will manage a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients, work alongside two existing Account Executives, and support the continued growth of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure their insurance needs are met.
• Prepare and agree forecasts, targets and budgets with the construction division manager.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and other handlers to achieve high customer satisfaction.
• Keep client files, notes and records accurate, up‑to‑date and accessible.
• Operate in line with FCA Principles and internal procedures.
• Assist the wider division with London Market presence and placing business via Lloyds.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an Account Handler role, preferably within insurance or a related sector.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective questioning and evaluation of client needs.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Clear communication – telephone, verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to sell and cross‑sell insurance solutions.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and underwriters.
