Senior Commercial Broker – Account Handler

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Account Handler to join our expanding corporate team in Glasgow. You will work across sectors such as construction, manufacturing, hospitality & leisure, and care, supporting both existing clients and new business alongside Account Executives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare documentation for new clients, accurately capturing insurance requirements.
• Obtain renewal terms, research market alternatives and prepare client presentations.
• Coordinate renewals and mid‑term adjustments while keeping systems updated.
• Manage insurer queries, confirm cover, process policies and chase documentation.
• Review insurer policy documents for accuracy before delivery to clients.
• Handle account queries and credit control, escalating issues when necessary.
• Apply regulatory and compliance requirements across client work.

Required profile

• Experience in larger commercial/corporate insurance across multiple classes.
• Certification CII preferred; progressing towards Dip CII or ACII is a bonus.
• Strong client service and relationship‑building abilities.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and proactive.
• Comfortable working within a regulated, target‑driven environment.
• UK work eligibility.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
