Senior Communications Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead the Communications team at West London NHS Trust. The role will oversee day‑to‑day activities, develop and manage our communication channels, and ensure our messages are clear and engaging for both internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage the daily operations of the Communications team.
• Develop and maintain communication channels and content across the Trust.
• Provide strategic communications advice for services, programmes and campaigns.
• Build and sustain effective relationships with Trust and external stakeholders.
• Align all communications activity with the Trust’s strategic objectives.
• Line‑manage team members and support their professional development.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in communications, preferably within the health or public sector.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate objectives into clear messaging.
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing a communications team.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement skills across diverse audiences.
• Willingness to work at least 60 % of the time on‑site in line with the Trust’s agile working policy.
