Senior Compliance Manager

About the role

Premier Foods is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to lead its legal compliance programme across the group. You will shape the compliance framework, drive risk‑based monitoring and embed a strong culture of compliance throughout the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain policies and controls covering Competition, Fraud Prevention, GDPR, Sanctions and Anti‑Bribery & Corruption.
• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies, advising the business on new and changing requirements.
• Review marketing materials, presentations and websites to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage the sanctions‑checking process, act as escalation point and resolve issues.
• Assess business processes and transactions to identify compliance weaknesses, working with Risk & Controls and Internal Audit.
• Support monitoring and audit activities, investigate suspected non‑compliance and respond to regulator requests.
• Prepare reports for the ELT, Audit Committee and Board on compliance performance and risks.
• Develop crisis‑management plans to address potential compliance violations.
• Champion a proactive, ethical compliance culture across the organisation.

Required profile

• Significant experience in compliance, legal or risk functions within a large, regulated organisation.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU regulations such as GDPR, competition law, sanctions, anti‑bribery and fraud prevention.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with Legal, Risk & Controls, Internal Audit and senior business leaders.
• Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience in developing policies, monitoring frameworks and reporting to senior governance bodies.
