Senior Conflicts Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Conflicts Analyst to join our fast‑growing transatlantic law firm in London. You will work within the new business intake team, supporting the Business Acceptance function by identifying, analysing and resolving ethical and commercial conflicts in line with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the US conflicts team and UK partners, explaining ABA rules and their differences from SRA rules.
• Analyse search results against ethical rules and firm policies, proposing clear resolutions and escalating to the US team when needed.
• Review standard and non‑standard engagement letters, drafting waivers and consents as required.
• Determine the need for ethical walls, prepare supporting documentation and manage escalations.
• Collaborate with the Head of Business Acceptance to resolve complex conflict issues.
• Review and approve new client forms prepared by Conflict Analysts.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a law firm.
• Degree or equivalent with strong academic performance.
• Demonstrated experience with ABA conflicts and analytical research in a corporate environment.
• Substantive knowledge of SRA and ABA Model Rules.
