Senior Construction Project Manager (Commercial)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead commercial projects for a nationwide chartered surveying practice. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams, overseeing projects from inception to handover while ensuring quality, safety, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from start to completion, including budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site visits across Oxfordshire and coordinate activities with engineers, contractors and client representatives.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, monitor progress and report against milestones.
• Lead a team of approximately 10 engineers, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain client relationships, address queries promptly and ensure delivery meets contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction sector, preferably on commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of building surveying, fire risk management and related consultancy services.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary teams effectively.
• Willingness to travel to sites and attend meetings in Bicester, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Banbury and surrounding areas.
