Senior Credit Controller

About the role

Rutherford Briant is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to take overall responsibility for its international ledger. The role will manage the end‑to‑end credit control process, support cash flow and work closely with the Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Lead credit control from billing to cash collection across a multi‑currency, international ledger.
• Maintain strong cash flow by actively managing outstanding balances and reducing overdue debt.
• Perform finance operations including invoicing, cash posting, allocations and order release.
• Design and apply insight‑driven collection strategies to lower risk and improve debtor days.
• Provide performance visibility, risk analysis and improvement opportunities to the Financial Controller.
• Contribute to ERP system and process enhancements to support scalability.
• Drive efficiencies through automation and continuous improvement of finance processes.
• Manage credit insurance arrangements and advise on exposure and risk management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing your own ledger with a strong record in debt collection and control.
• Solid understanding of credit control processes and core financial fundamentals.
• High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Confidence using finance systems and a keen interest in leveraging technology for process improvement.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business.
