Join the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) as a Cyber Policy Adviser to play a pivotal role in strengthening the cyber resilience of local government sectors. You will be at the forefront of shaping national security policy by driving strategic initiatives and fostering a robust cyber culture across local authorities.

Missions principales

• Lead strategic workstreams aimed at improving the cyber health of the local government sector, specifically promoting the adoption of the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
• Act as the primary political voice within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring policy alignment across various workstreams.
• Collaborate closely with central government departments, industry stakeholders, and local councils to drive unified security objectives.
• Develop and formulate high-level policy options to support the effective implementation of the Government Cyber Action Plan.
• Provide expert oral and written briefings to Ministers and senior civil servants to support high-level decision-making.
• Engage and secure buy-in from senior stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of cyber security mandates.

Profil recherché

• Proven experience in public policy, cybersecurity strategy, or a related regulatory field.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex political landscapes and influence senior decision-makers.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical cyber risks into actionable policy recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering high-quality briefings to government officials.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
