Senior Data Analyst - Insurance (AI & Data)

About the role

Our client is embarking on a major transformation to modernise its data estate and build a cloud‑based platform for operational reporting, regulatory compliance and future AI initiatives. As a Senior Data Analyst / Data Modeller you will bridge business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to design reusable enterprise data structures for the insurance domain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of enterprise and subject‑area data models across key insurance domains.
• Create conceptual, logical and physical data models that support current operations and future scalability.
• Define standardised data structures reusable across reporting, analytics and operational processes.
• Establish common definitions, attributes, hierarchies and relationships across multiple data sources.
• Ensure data models align with platform architecture and long‑term business objectives.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to make models practical and implementable.
• Work with SMEs to understand business processes, data challenges and reporting requirements.
• Elicit, document and validate detailed data requirements and transformation specifications.
• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies and quality issues across source systems.
• Define data quality standards, validation rules and reconciliation requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data modelling within the insurance sector.
• Strong analytical capability and ability to translate complex business processes into structured data models.
• Experience working between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based data platforms and large‑scale relational data sources.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
