About the role
Our client is embarking on a major transformation to modernise its data estate and build a cloud‑based platform for operational reporting, regulatory compliance and future AI initiatives. As a Senior Data Analyst / Data Modeller you will bridge business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to design reusable enterprise data structures for the insurance domain.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development of enterprise and subject‑area data models across key insurance domains.
- Create conceptual, logical and physical data models that support current operations and future scalability.
- Define standardised data structures reusable across reporting, analytics and operational processes.
- Establish common definitions, attributes, hierarchies and relationships across multiple data sources.
- Ensure data models align with platform architecture and long‑term business objectives.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to make models practical and implementable.
- Work with SMEs to understand business processes, data challenges and reporting requirements.
- Elicit, document and validate detailed data requirements and transformation specifications.
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies and quality issues across source systems.
- Define data quality standards, validation rules and reconciliation requirements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in data modelling within the insurance sector.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to translate complex business processes into structured data models.
- Experience working between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Familiarity with cloud‑based data platforms and large‑scale relational data sources.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
