Senior Data and Performance Officer

About the role

The Senior Data and Performance Officer will lead data analysis, reporting and performance management for a regional Net Zero programme. Working closely with internal teams, local authorities and external partners, you will ensure data‑driven insights shape strategy and measure impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data analysis, research and reporting to support strategic planning and performance monitoring across multiple Net Zero initiatives.
• Develop, maintain and enhance CRM systems, Power BI dashboards and automated reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy and GDPR compliance.
• Produce high‑quality reports and visualisations for senior leaders, programme boards and government stakeholders.
• Manage GIS‑related projects, providing technical expertise, training and continuous improvement of reporting processes.
• Build and nurture relationships with local authorities, universities and external partners to promote data sharing and evidence‑based decision making.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification (or equivalent) with a strong analytical background.
• Extensive experience in data analysis, performance reporting, business intelligence and CRM development.
• Proven ability to present complex information to non‑technical audiences.
• Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding of Net Zero, climate change or public‑sector programmes is advantageous.
