Senior Data Architect – Remote (UK)

About the role

This senior position offers the chance to shape the data strategy of a large, complex organisation that is heavily investing in analytics. You will own enterprise data modelling and architecture, driving the transformation of how data is structured, governed and consumed across the business, all on a remote basis within the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise‑wide data models across bronze, silver and gold layers using a Medallion Architecture.
• Create scalable curated data models with dimensional modelling, star schemas, facts, dimensions and Kimball techniques.
• Define semantic data layers, modelling standards and governance frameworks to improve consistency, quality and reusability.
• Manage logical and physical data models, including metadata, business glossaries, data flows and storage.
• Partner with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers and technology teams to deliver data solutions in an agile environment.
• Provide architectural assurance for business‑critical programmes and ensure alignment with the enterprise data strategy.
• Promote best practices through consultancy, mentoring and technical leadership.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience in data architecture and data modelling at enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in Azure‑based ecosystems and Data Lakehouse architectures.
• Background in Financial Services, Professional Services or Legal sectors is desirable.
